Sephora Spring Sale Products Worth Buying

Just because I'm on a spending ban for the rest of the month doesn't mean I can't share the love! I decided to throw together a little list of some of the more pricey buys from Sephora that I think are worth it, but I normally can't repurchase because of the price - however the 10%-15% sale for Sephora customers makes the price tag a little more palatable! Before we get into the products, here are the coupon codes and dates of the sale for all three tiers of Sephora shoppers:

NARS Supervixen Gloss Review + Swatch

Thursday, August 13, 2015
Prior to getting this gloss I had been pretty weary of the NARS lip glosses. They're pretty pricey at $26 a pop, and since I'm not a gloss lover that price pushed them way out of the question.

Also, when I started getting into makeup around 2011, the biggest thing was MAC Angel and NARS Turkish delight because of Mrs. Kardashian-West, and all the reports I heard of those glosses back then were that they smelled like paint thinner... uh, what? Well, luckily they've been reformulated since then, so when this full sized one happened to be in a Sephora gift set I didn't end up running in the opposite direction since the formula now has hardly any noticeable smell or taste.

Sephora 2015 Brithday Gift!

Saturday, August 8, 2015
Yes, it is nearing that time of the year again for me. Another year older, and another year bolder according to Sephora. Personally, I don't like the whole "another year older" thing, so as far as anyone is concerned,  I'm still 21. Capisce?

Dupe Debunk: NARS Laguna/Orgasm Duo vs e.l.f Contouring Blush & Bronzer duo

Sunday, March 31, 2013
Here is a misguided dupe that kinda frustrates me. I’m one of those finicky people that believes that dupes need to be >97% the same to be considered true dupes, so hearing that these two products are dupes from multiple sources is something that I want to put to rest.
Let's get on with it, shall we?

NARS Orgasm and Laguna in separate pans.
What the actual NARS Duo looks like (photo from Sephora.com), $41

e.l.f Contouring Blush & Bronzer Duo, $3

As you can see, the packaging for the two products in question are quite similar. Both are black clamshell compacts with large mirrors and similar pans. However, the NARS compact (and the rest of the NARS products) has a rubberized texture. The elf compact is significantly less weighted and isn’t as high quality. Even though the packaging isn't really important when it comes to dupes, I thought I should mention it.
On to the swatches and product comparisons!

Weekly Wish List #1

1. Urban Decay NAKED Basics Palette, $27

Yeah, yeah... I dedicated a post to this product pre-launch pretty much bashing this palette and Urban Decay for over playing the whole "NAKED" fad (which they totally are), but now that I've seen a ton of people use it, swatch it, or review it, I've had a change of heart... plus I've also become inexplicably attracted to mattes. Figures.

2. MAC Strawberry Malt Veronica Lipglass, $16.50

I need this for reasons... and reasons being that it is the most perfect strawberry red lipgloss EVAR and spring is rapidly approaching. I needs it. Go google a swatch of this. Do it.

3. NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Powder, $34

All of the bloggers that have reviewed this have pretty much raved about this to the point where I kind of supderduper need it. Plus I'm rapidly running out of my Maybelline Dream Matte powder and I'm in serious need of a new one.

4. LUSH Be Mine gift, $39.95

This gift is essentially a butt load of rose scented items, a sweet thing to go on your lips, and a massage bar. Uh... hello! This is essentially all of the things I love during the month of February! I must acquire this before it goes away! It has a small pot of Turkish Delight and Ro's Argan Body Conditioner, a small imprinted puck of the Willow Pattern soap, a tin of "The Kiss" lip balm, and a Tender is the Night soft centered massage bar. BE STILL MY BEATING HEART!
