Too Faced A Few of My Favorite Things Pictures and Swatches + Rapid Fire Review

Monday, December 2, 2013
Disclaimer: This product was partially purchased with funds from EXPOTV.com in the form of a $20 Sephora gift card to be exclusively used to "haul" products for review. All opinions and thoughts expressed are my own.

This holiday set from Too Faced retails for a very reasonable $56, considering that it has 20 eyeshadows, 2 blushes, 2 bronzers, a chubby lip pencil (full sized), and a mini mascara! A Few of My Favorite Things is exclusive to Sephora, and as of 12/2, it is sold out online. :( I don't know if they'll be restocking it online anytime soon, but it should also be available in stores.

Well, this was supposed to be a video, but I'm totally out of AA batteries, ergo I've got a dead filming camera on my hands. Note to self: buy a camera from this decade.

Looks like my LUSH stash will have to be broken down into several blog posts then! I'd do them all in one foul swoop, but man... that would be one long post!

Recent Drugstore Sightings + Fabulous Deal on Nivea Lip Butters + Weekly Damage

Monday, October 21, 2013
I zipped around to several places last week and was pretty delighted by what I found!

Walgreens:

Looks like the Viva Diva collection hit the west coast! Wet n Wild Fergie also has a shimmery eyeshadow primer if that is your thing. :)

Target:

My local Target had some pretty discounted Maybelline Great Last colored mascara. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of these since the color payoff isn't amazing (if you want to see a REALLY great colored mascara for a song, check out the Rimmel Extra Pop Mascara, which I have a video review of HERE)

Product Review! Jordana Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stain in Sweet Pink and Terra Crave

Sunday, September 29, 2013
It's NO secret that I'm addicted to chubby lip pencils! At any given time I have 2 (or more) on me. The obsession with these easy-as-pie and perfectly on-the-go products started when Revlon launched their Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and it just took off from there! Why? Because I'm lazy and these are a lazy girl's best friend. So when I learned that Jordana was releasing a collection of them, I just had to bite because a) I hadn't used anything from the brand before and wanted to see how well this budget brand performed, and b) a cubby lip pencil for only $2.99? Sign me up! I honestly would have gotten more than these two, but the display was already pretty picked through and I decided to go with the two that spoke to me the most, a.k.a a nude (duh), and the one that looked most like my coveted Revlon Honey.

I'm gonna go ahead and spoil the whole post for you right now by saying that if you can find these, you REALLY need to buy them.

Why? Well find out after the jump:

Product Review: Clinique A Different Nail Enamel in Black Honey

Saturday, September 28, 2013
After having my only experiences with high end nail polishes be negative (Chanel = gorgeous but obscenely short lived, and Dior = just plain horrible), I've kind of sworn off buying any nail lacquer outside of the drugstore. The only two reasons that I actually ventured out of my allowed budget with this polish were that a) I was wondering about how this was such "a different nail enamel" from others, and b) I needed to tip my Clinique purchase over the $25 mark in order to get the really rad sample set for free. Probably not the best reasons ever, but I digress.

One teeny tiny note about the packaging before we go forth into the world of lacquer; I consider myself to be a bit of a minimalist, but this packaging is a little too minimalist. It has some weight to it, but aesthetically it looks cheaper than cheap. Not a fan. The brush is fine, I don't fumble with the lid, everything is perfectly functioning, but I just look at the bottle and I want to doze off.

Naturally I went with the darkest creme finish from the line, a.k.a Black Honey, because those are pretty hard to screw up and my beloved Essie Carry On needed to be retired due to old age. By my understanding, the shade Black Honey is kind of a legend when it comes to the Clinique line since I've had a few friends rave about it (hello, Molls), and it's a shade found in various forms in the makeup line. I'm kinda seeing why this blackened berry is so popular! Three coats of this beauty creates a suuuper deep shade that is more interesting than straight up black, but more demure than an obvious dark berry.

Besides being that certain shade of irresistible vampiness that seems to linger on my nails FAR after the cold weather has left, does this nail polish actually stack up to it's $12.50 price tag? Find out after the jump:

Product Review: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Raisin Rage and Teak Rose

Wednesday, September 25, 2013
"A girl can NEVER have enough fall lip shades" is what I told myself when I broke my buy ban to get these... and a few other lipsticks from Wet n Wild, which you can read about HERE. Since both of these were the last ones in the displays, I'm really glad I grabbed them before having to wait for my local Rite Aid to restock. It's no secret that I'm super iffy about Revlon since most of the time we don't exactly see eye to eye, but the Super Lustrous Creme line and I tend to get along famously and these two are no exception!

The packaging is the standard Revlon Super Lustrous stuff. Glossy black tube, logo emblazoned golden band, a clear window at the top to see the shade (mighty helpful), and color coordinated name labels at the bottom. Nothing fancy here, but it's functional and prevents confusion between shades unlike some other brands (*cough cough*... MAC).

Product Review: Wet n Wild Fergie Perfect Pout Lip Color in Bebot Love and Ferguson Crest Cabernet

Tuesday, September 24, 2013
I've been eyeballing this line since it came out, but I never got around to picking them up for some reason. These babies got snatched up at my local Kmart during my search for the new Rimmel Extra Pop Lash colored mascaras (you can watch my video review of the Pop Purple shade HERE). I had no idea that Kmart carried the Fergie line, so that was a bit of a pleasant surprise! Naturally I picked up a nude and a vampy shade... I mean, have you SEEN my collection of lipsticks?

Product Review: Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Richer Rasin

Monday, September 23, 2013
If memory serves me correctly, the initial launch of the original Clinique Chubby Sticks is what created the chubby lip pencil mania, which I've TOTALLY succumbed to. I've stuck with the drugstore counterparts to these since dropping $17 on a tinted lip balm is a bit mad in my opinion, but I wanted to try out the grand-daddy of all the products I've been loving lately.

The question is; is the $17 "original" better than the cheaper drugstore counterparts that I cherish so much? Find out after the jump:

Product Review: BA Star Holo Silver Glitter (press sample)

Saturday, September 21, 2013
I received this product for review from BA Star through BrandBacker. This cosmetic glitter is actually part of a two-piece set, which also comes with a glitter adhesive that I absolutely do not recommend. Why? Well, just read my review product HERE.

One thing that I want to note before getting into the review is that glitters are particularly hard to review since they are, in fact, just loose glitter. I can't really test the wear time, or the pigmentation, or any of those other things that would normally bring up a normal product review, so were pretty much just going to go by the seat of our pants on this one.

Product Review: BA Star Glue Liquid Base (press sample)

I received this product from BA Star via Brand Backer a while ago to review. This product also came with a glitter, but I've decided to review each product separately. To read my Silver Holo Glitter review, please click HERE.

I kept putting it off and putting it off and putting it off because I had a gut feeling that I wouldn't be impressed. Well, lo and behold: I wasn't impressed. But before we get into the whys and why nots of this product, let's take a look at the packaging and go over some general information.

Here is what the website has to say about this:

  • Use under eye shadows and glitter
  • Apply with self contained dabber
  • Clear plastic container & applicator
  • Sweat resistant
  • Net weight 1.5 fl oz
Yeah... not a ton of claims made about this (in fact, the only one that they DO make is a complete and utter fail) and the bulk of the info is packaging and uses.

Now on to the packaging:

Product Review: LUSH Ayesha Fresh Face Mask

Sunday, September 8, 2013
I know that Cupcake is a bit of a cult favorite on YouTube when it comes to LUSH Fresh Faced Masks, but you seldom hear about the others. Today I'd like to introduce you to the only face mask I've bought more than once; Ayesha, a.k.a the reasonably priced and extremely ethical face mask that makes me feel like a field full of sunlit daisies.

Here is what LUSH has to say about their Fresh Faced Masks:

Our Fresh Face Masks are handmade with the finest essential oils, fresh fruits and veggies, deep cleansing clays and nutrient rich herbs. We use active ingredients to address a host of skin needs, from dryness to breakouts to fine lines, and everything in between! When we use the term “active ingredient”, this refers to an ingredient that is biologically active. We use freshly squeezed juices, extracts, or whole fruits and vegetables in our face masks, so they need to be refrigerated at all times to prevent spoilage. Unfortunately, this means we are unable to offer our Fresh Face Masks online. Please visit your nearest LUSH shop to purchase your Fresh Face Mask. Fresh Masks means that the benefits of each ingredient are delivered directly to your skin within minutes. Your face mask should be used as a treatment, applied once or twice a week to refresh and deep cleanse the skin. Not sure which mask is for you? Stop by your local shop for your skin care consultation today

Doesn't that just sound, well, lush? And at only $6.95 a pot, it's a relatively affordable luxury, well... affordable for LUSH anyhow. Now, since LUSH uses a multitude of fresh ingredients, these face masks should be used within about 3 weeks of being made and needs to be kept in the refrigerator so they don't go rancid. I know 3 weeks sounds like a pretty intense deadline, but there is just enough product in this pot to pamper yourself a few times a week and not have it go bad. However I like to cheat the clock and freeze little single serve packets of it so I can thaw and use them at a later date.

I managed to get some of my fall skin and haircare essentials for a song!

Saturday, September 7, 2013
My beauty arsenal needs a bit of a makeover since the seasons are changing and I had to toss a lot of stuff pre-moves (yes, that is plural). I love fall, don't get me wrong, but my body is a TOTAL diva when it comes to seasonal changes and demands a few items to make it through without looking like death slightly warmed up. Thankfully I was able to find a few of these items for almost next to nothing today at (I kid you not) Grocery Outlet!

I have a rather high maintenance lifestyle, but I don't have the budget to supplement that most of the time, so my love for Grocery Outlet has been an ongoing affair for over half a decade now. Say what you will about the place, but there are some really great deals there when it comes to skincare, hair care, and sometimes even makeup!

Come take a look at what I picked up and how much I saved after the jump!

Haul/Mini Review Time... from last week... oops!

Thursday, July 25, 2013
You'd think that finishing up two condensed courses (BOTH of which I got As in if I might brag about for a second) would free up some time, right? LOL NO! I've been crazy busy with a ton of things lately, and I'll address that later in a video. Yes, busy enough to not post a week old haul.

Oh well... better late than never!

I did pretty well I think! I made off with a decent amount of stuff for waaay less than it was worth!

Fred Meyer Sightings! China Glaze, Maybelline, Essence, Wet n Wild, and more!

Wednesday, July 17, 2013
I found a whole bunch of goodies at Fred Meyer today! :D

Holy SNAP These Pop Art Craze collections were totally picked through! :O There have got to be some other seriously cosmetic crazy people in my town besides me and my Beauty Bargainistas and I kinda want to meet them because DAYUM! Y'all really went to town on these! There were also a few Fergie line items that were on display, which is kind of neat considering that that line is more or less a Walgreens exclusive.

Rite Aid Clearance Bin Haul!

Sunday, July 7, 2013
When life hands you lemons, go to your nearest drugstore and raid the living bajeezus out of the clearance bins! Honestly, nothing lifts my spirits more than getting a serious steal of a deal when it comes to makeup!

I managed to grab 2 bronzers, a blush, 2 lip glosses, a lipstick, and two lip crayons from my local Rite Aid for under $25. I got them all for $23.75 to be exact! The only 2 products that I paid full price for were the Ma.Nish.Ma lip crayons which retail for $2.99 each. Wowee!

Product Review: Maybelline Color Show Holographic Nail Laquer in Mystic Green

Sunday, June 23, 2013
Maybelline, Maybelline, Maybelline. We need to have a talk. In the past, we've been pretty good buddies, but recently your new collections have been brining me down. First your new Electro Baby Lips left my lips itching for moisture, and then your new Shine-Free Stick Foundation left me rethinking my reflective complexion, and now this holographic polish has left me anything but dazzled. What's going on?

Maybelline claims that Mystic Green is a "holographic"shade, which is total bogus. It's a gorgeous sea green with a slight blue shift, but it's by no stretch of the imagination holographic.

Howdy, howdy, howdy! How are y'all doing today?

Product Review: Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm in Minty Sheer and Pink Shock (purchased)

Wednesday, June 19, 2013

Pink Shock and Minty Sheer

The hype surrounding the Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm has stayed pretty consistent during the year or so that they've been on the market. Since Baby Lips and I seemed to get off on the wrong foot during the initial launch, I decided to pick up a few of the new snazzy looking Electro ones to see if there had been any improvements.

Well, to make a long story short; You can put a goat in a suit, but it's still a goat.

Drugstore Sightings + Haul

Monday, June 17, 2013
I went to my local Fred Meyer today just to take a peek at what was going on in the makeup isles and I ended up finding a few new interesting displays!

L'Oreal seems to be churning out new collections and products lately! I managed to come across the new Magic Nude foundation (they're a liquid to powder product... how strange), a few Visible Lift blushes and a whopping two shades of Visible Lift CC Cream, a whole display choc full of new pink lipsticks and Le Glosses, and some new Infallible Vibrant Color lip colors.

Product Review: Total Intensity by Prestige Long Term Relationship Fierce Color Eyeshadow in Hocus Pocus

Saturday, June 15, 2013
Before we get into the long bits of this post I have two things to say about this "Total Intensity by Prestige Long Term Relationship Fierce Color Eyeshadow in Hocus Pocus" eyeshadow:
  1. The brand and product type name are stupidly long and I will hereby be referring to it as Prestige Hocus Pocus
  2. Get this. Now.

The packaging of this eyeshadow isn't anything too terribly exciting beyond the holographic product sticker on the back. The round pan is nestled in the center of the square, plastic packaging. If anything, it's a little excessive. It looks a little ho-hum right now, since it's giving off the illusion of being a deep murky, steely green... but don't let that fool you. The swatch will blow your mind

Product Review: MAC Peachstock Lipstick

Sunday, May 26, 2013

Aaaaah, nostalgia! Peachstock was both my first MAC lipstick and my first CCO purchase. It really brings me back to the day when I was really getting into makeup. Back then (about 3 years ago) I was into the whole skin toned nudes and I thought Peachstock was my soulmate, hence the massive weardown. A few years, and lots of experimenting with makeup, later... not so much.

Lil' LUSH Haul!

Sunday, May 19, 2013
It has been forEVER since my last LUSH purchase! I was so excited when I stepped into my store in Washington Square yesterday that I nearly had a spaz attack! If I had it my way, I'd be in there every day stocking up on all of the lovely bath and body care products, but alas... I have not the fundage. I'm a little bummed that I wasn't able to grab a few dozen bath products, but between moving and apartments costs I've been totally broke so I could only pick up the essentials. Oh well...

Come take a peek at what I got:

Product Review: BA Star Eyeshadow Palette in Natural (press sample)

Thursday, May 9, 2013
I had never heard of this brand prior to being paired with them via BrandBacker, even though BA Star claims to be the number one cosmetics brand when it comes to dance, cheer, and other competitive activities.

To be completely honest, I did not have high hopes for this palette. The packaging is cheaply constructed and looks strikingly similar to the NYX Glitter Creme palettes, the dual-ended applicator is quite flimsy and pretty much worthless, and the fact that there are two glitter cream pans in here made me cringe seeing as how all of my experiences with lower end glitter creams have been quite negative (i.e. stiff, waxy "creme" base and only a sprinkling of glitter on the top with absolutely zero payoff).

But did my predictions about the quality of this product stay relevant after testing?

Product Review: N.Y.C Liquid Lipshine in Nude York City (press sample)

I got this lipgloss WAAAAY back from Influenster, but for some reason I never got around to reviewing it, and thusly it got lost in the shuffle of my makeup stash.

I recently rediscovered it after I started packing up my belongings earlier this month in preparation for my upcoming move. After putting two and two together, I figured out that I had previously tried this product and I did NOT like it. Of course, that was a few years ago and it had been reformulated since then. Here is a little visual aid to jog your memory of what these used to look like prior to around 2011:

If my memory serves me correctly, these weren't all that pleasant. They had a bit of a strange tacky laquer consistency to them, the ones with shimmer felt quite gritty, the scent was a strange chemical-y perfume-y nonsense (with a matching taste), and the doefoot was a bit scratchy.

Would I call the new formula an improvement? Heck. Yes. Oh, sweet baby Jesus, yes. Read on after the jump!

Products I Want to Use Up in 2013

Wednesday, May 1, 2013
I have a lot of beauty clutter. Even after destashing via "Goo Hoarding" and trying to offload gently used products on my blogsale, I still have a lot of stuff I need to work through. I've decided to target a few products that I use fairly often and work my way through them during the later half of 2013!

Product Review: Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Lip Color in High-Pitched Wine

Friday, April 26, 2013
This product has been out on the market for quite some time so this isn't exactly a "cutting edge" post, but it's one that I feel needs to be done. I've been putting off this review for months. Why? Well, because I've honestly been dreading having to put it on my lips.

This liquid lip color comes in a pretty normal looking tube:

New Drugstore Brand Alert! EDDIE FUNKHOUSER (press samples)

Thursday, April 25, 2013
I got some new press samples in today and I think that they're too exciting not to share before I start testing them out for review!

Rejoice, Rite Aid customers and drugstore divas of the US! We've got a new brand hitting the shelves of my favorite drugstore. I'd like to introduce you to EDDIE FUNKHOUSER!

The PR department sent me a folder full of information, which I will share with you, and a few goodies to test out. Yippee!

Let's start out with a little background on the brand and it's creator after the jump:

Product Review: Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge Hair Care Line (PR Samples)

Tuesday, April 16, 2013
{Negative review alert!}
I honestly hate writing negative reviews because they make me feel like a gigantic snooty jerk, but honesty is the best policy, so let's get on with it.

What is this new Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge line, and what is it supposed to do?

The Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge line provides a power blast of hydration to dry hair, leaving it ultra-hydrated and weightlessly silky. Infused with superfruits, the Hydra Recharge formula actively replenishes hair for silky-soft hydration that lasts. Hydra Recharge will recharge your thirsty locks and keep your hair super silky and surprisingly weightless for up to two whole days.

  • Hydra Recharge Shampoo is a hydration innovation; the first to feature thousands of beads that burst on impact.
  • Hydra Recharge range contains superfruits goji berry, passion fruit, and kiwi to actively replenish without heaviness.
  • Hydra Recharge 1-Minute Moisture-Plenish Treatment is a powerful deep treatment whose revolutionary lightweight creme-gel formula transforms dry hair with a surge of high-performance hydration in just one minute.

I received these products about a month ago through BzzAgent.com, which is a pretty rad website that hooks up bloggers/vloggers/social media junkies up with PR samples. I've had plenty of time for this line to wreak absolute havoc on my hair to test this line out. As the name "Hydra Recharge" would imply, this line is focused towards persons with dry hair. For reference, I have strange frankenhair; the roots are oily and itchy, the ends are drier than a desert, and it's just all around a fine, limp, frazzled mess. I WAS hoping that this would be able to cure the bottom half of my hair of it's intense dryness, but in reality it just made EVERYTHING worse.

Hydra Recharge Shampoo experience:

The first things my brain snapped to when I saw this shampoo were those anti-bacterial liquid hand soaps from B&BW and hair gel. So was I surprised when it ended up feeling like and lathering as well as hair gel? No... not really. This bizarre consistency to the formula made it relatively difficult to work with, and it took some time to actually develop a lather. As for those magical little hydration beads bursting on contact, all I have to say is "LOL". After using this shampoo, my normally oily roots were completely stripped, dried to the dickens, and were made completely unmanageable and tangled by this shampoo.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hydra Recharge Conditioner experience:

This had to be the lightest conditioner that I've used... ever. One would normally associate a thick, rich formula with deep hydration, but this back-assward line thought that a very thin and runny one would be better... and it wasn't. I got little to no results from this conditioner. It felt very watered down, which made it easy to spread through my hair, but it did nothing for me in terms of hydration or detangling. My ends were left all frizzy and looked as if they hadn't come into contact with conditioner at all.
--------------------------------------------------------

Hydra Recharge 1-Minute Moisture-Plenish Treatment experience:

This treatment essentially performed the same function (or lack thereof) as the Hydra Recharge conditioner. There is really no reason in the world to by both.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In summary, my locks were NOT left super silky. Instead they ended up pulling a full Hermione on me and were unmanageable, frizzy, and felt quite brittle. I'm actually still recovering from the few weeks I used these products. My actual experiences completely contrast the companies claims about the products (with the exception of weightlessness, of which I had an obnoxious amount), which lands this line with a big fat F in my book. Never have I ever dreaded showering because of a hairline before this. I would definitely say pass this line up.

Dupe Debunk: NARS Laguna/Orgasm Duo vs e.l.f Contouring Blush & Bronzer duo

Sunday, March 31, 2013
Here is a misguided dupe that kinda frustrates me. I’m one of those finicky people that believes that dupes need to be >97% the same to be considered true dupes, so hearing that these two products are dupes from multiple sources is something that I want to put to rest.
Let's get on with it, shall we?

NARS Orgasm and Laguna in separate pans.
What the actual NARS Duo looks like (photo from Sephora.com), $41

e.l.f Contouring Blush & Bronzer Duo, $3

As you can see, the packaging for the two products in question are quite similar. Both are black clamshell compacts with large mirrors and similar pans. However, the NARS compact (and the rest of the NARS products) has a rubberized texture. The elf compact is significantly less weighted and isn’t as high quality. Even though the packaging isn't really important when it comes to dupes, I thought I should mention it.
On to the swatches and product comparisons!

Product Review: NYX Bronze Smokey Look Kit

Friday, March 29, 2013

After holding off for about 2 years, I finally bit the bullet and purchased the NYX Bronze Smokey Look Kit when NYX was on Hautelook a few weeks ago. It's no secret that I'm a rabid neutral fanatic, so you'd think that I would love the living snot out of this palette.

WRONG! There are actually very few things that I like about it, which really bums me out because this thing has so much potential to be a girl-on-the-go's best friend. "What is wrong with it?" you may ask... well, keep reading and you'll find out.

Weekly Obsessions Vol. 2

Friday, March 22, 2013
TGIF (amirite?)! Ugh, what a week! I don't know about you, but it's been a pretty taxing couple of days and I'm super stoked that I'm now able to kick back and relax... LOL, who am I kidding? I need to get started on my Spring cleaning. I'm just taking a temporary blogging break to bring you another Weekly Favorites post. :)

How much is my "Work Face" worth?

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

My typical "work face" is pictured above. I tend to keep it pretty simple and neutral for personal ease and a professional appearance. Normally I skip foundation for a bare face or I substitute in tinted moisturizer because my position is pretty demanding and I don't have much time to touch that up and I certainly don't have the time to worry about patchiness or oxidization.

My eye look consists of 4 very neutral eyeshadows:

Iron Maid-In in the inner corner, Adagio under the brow and all over my mobile lid, Allegro in the crease, and Presto softly smudged along my upper and lower lash line.

And now on to the tally!

Face products:
  • Sonia Kashuk All Covered Up concealer: $9.99
  • Rimmel Match Perfection 2-in-1 Highlighting Concealer: $5.99
  • Benefit Hervana Boxed Blush: $28
  • Maybelline Dream Matte Powder: $7.49
  • Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray: $12 (travel size price)
Eye products:
  • Urban Decay Original Primer Potion: $9 (travel size price)
  • theBalm Balm Jovi Face Palette: $39.50
  • Maybelline The Rocket Mascara: $7.99
Lip products:
  • Benefit Posie Tint: $30 (couldn't find a price for mini)
  • Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Lipgloss in Candy, Baby: $7
Brows:
  • Urban Decay Brow Box in Brown Sugar: $29
Total: $185.96

Hoooooooo-eee! That's a lot more than I was expecting! It makes me wonder how much a full-on "Going Out" face would be worth...

How much is YOUR face worth?

The Science of Chic over and out!

The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Tag

Sunday, March 17, 2013
Wow, this tag is perfect for me, wouldn't you agree?

1. Name a beauty regime that you rarely do?
Honestly? I really really really suck at removing my makeup. I have this full blown removal process that I do go through (remover, cleanser, toner, and moisturizer), but either using a remover wipe of flat out forgetting tends to happen more often than not. Feel free to yell at me down in the comments because this is really bad for your skin.

2. Is washing your makeup brushes something you do regularly?
Eh, I spot clean more often than deep cleaning. Spot cleaning either happens weekly or right after using a really pigmented or difficult product (i.e. gel liner, dark eyeshadow, lipstick, foundation, etc) and I deep clean about every month or so. I don't really feel too bad about it though because I use about 1/6th of my brushes on the regular so I don't feel too compelled to break out the Dawn dish soap, which works WONDERS, every week.

3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
I'm really OCD about my nails. Over the past 3 years that I've been regularly painting them they haven't been naked for over 6 hours... ever. Chips almost send me into a nervous breakdown and I end up removing EVERYTHING and repainting them a different color as soon as I possible can. Case in point; I've painted my nails 3 times at my job as a Office Assistant and innumeral times as a Lab Technician (even though my hands were covered with pretty purple nitrile gloves 98% of the time).

4. How long do you put off buying/replacing a beauty or nail polish product even if you need it? (i.e purchasing a new topcoat, or a new foundation etc.)
If it's something that I undoubtably can not live without I will buy it as soon as I have the chance. However this rarely happens because I have about 3 of everything...

5. What is your worst beauty habit?
See answer 1.

6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?
Any monumentally huge thing that needs to be done. Big things scare the crap out of me.

7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready until the last minute or not?
I'm very punctual, as in 5-15 minutes early ALWAYS, so I normally have all of my ducks in a row before heading out. There have been a few instances where I put off my makeup until I get somewhere if I know it won't be on point, but that doesn't happen often.

8. Can you commit to spending bans?
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! Only when I'm totally broke.

9. How organized is your makeup and nail polish collection?
Organized to the point that it is mildly scary... and even then I'm not happy with it. Everything has a place, but I get a little anxious when I open my "loose" drawers that have things simply put in them (and even then they're as organized as possible with definite, yet unconfined, categories).

You can check for yourself in my old and new makeup collection videos:

10. What is the longest amount of time you have gone without writing a blog post?
A month. Yup... I'm a horrible blogger.

I was tagged by the lovely Mary over at Neon Chipmunk. Check her out!

1. You must copy and paste these 'rules' into your post when you write it, it doesn't take long!.

Revlon ColorStay liquid concealer and some new ColorBurst products (including the new shades of the Lip Butters for those of you who like them).
