I managed to get some of my fall skin and haircare essentials for a song!

My beauty arsenal needs a bit of a makeover since the seasons are changing and I had to toss a lot of stuff pre-moves (yes, that is plural). I love fall, don't get me wrong, but my body is a TOTAL diva when it comes to seasonal changes and demands a few items to make it through without looking like death slightly warmed up. Thankfully I was able to find a few of these items for almost next to nothing today at (I kid you not) Grocery Outlet!

I have a rather high maintenance lifestyle, but I don't have the budget to supplement that most of the time, so my love for Grocery Outlet has been an ongoing affair for over half a decade now. Say what you will about the place, but there are some really great deals there when it comes to skincare, hair care, and sometimes even makeup!

Come take a look at what I picked up and how much I saved after the jump!

1. Renpure Solutions Sweet Pomegranate Cleansing Conditioner, $6.99 for 16 fl oz (normally $9.99)

I have VERY fine hair that is damaged (both from a botched dye job that required correction and the fact that I have to have my hair up every single second or I go crazy) in addition to having incredibly try ends and a crazy scalp that is prone to oiliness and flaking, and all of this only gets worse with the cold. I've tried SO many things in terms of hair care to try and make my hair more "normal", and besides doing an occasional salt shampoo, the only thing that tends to work is cleansing conditioner, ESPECIALLY during the fall.

Right now I don't exactly have the cash to fork over for a bottle of Wen every month, so I've decided to give this one a shot! I did a little research on it after I got home and so far it has pretty solid reviews! I have yet to try it, but I'm honestly excited to give this guy a whirl. The scent is a little unusual since it has a pretty heavy mint scent in addition to the very light pomegranate notes, but it's nothing offensive.

2. Burt's Bees Mango & Orange Sugar Scrub, $3.99 for 225 grams (originally $13.99)

With cold weather comes dry, flaky skin. I'm pretty good about weatherproofing my body during the colder seasons, but sometimes the season prevails and leaves my limbs a little less-than-soft. A good scrub-a-dub with a body scrub once a week normally sorts me out! I've never tried this specific scrub from Burt's Bees, but I've tried a variety of products from good ol' Burt and it's a safe bet that this thing is relatively solid.

3. The Body Shop Macadamia Body Butter Duo, $3.99 for 192 grams (normally $20)

Staying with the "cold weather = dry skin" theme is this duo of body butters from The Body Shop. I've been a long time fan of their potted body butters, so I was nearly out of my mind to see this for such a great price! I don't find the need to invest in a huge tub of super thick body butter, so this duo with both heavy and a light options is a wonderful idea for me.

Total spent: $14.07

Total savings: $29.01

Not bad!

You should really take a peek at your local Grocery Outlet if you haven't already! It's totally worth your time.

  1. Have you done a review on the Renpure conditioner?

    1. I unfortunately have not - partially because the bottle completely exploded on me after a few uses and got waterlogged, but also because it really did not do it for me. I can definitely whip one up for you if you'd like. :)
