This quad retails for a sensible $20, i.e. each eyeshadow is $5, making it dangerously affordable. All four of the sultry shades mesh together into what I consider a perfect fall look. From the brow highlight to the mysterious lid color to the deep crease shade and a smattering of glitter... this thing really has it all.
Here are the lovely shadows in this quad after the jump.
Onai - satin finish creamy white with blue violet opalescent duo chrome
Amira - metallic finish antique gilded cold with multi-colored and multi-dimensional glitter
Lectra (my favorite) - metallic finish deepened burgundy with pink violet glitter
Farah - matte deep brown
Aaaand swatches:
These shadows are quite peculiar. They have a whipped, souffle-esque texture to them, similar to the Maybelline bouncy blushes, but lighter, which can take a little getting used to. When applying, I highly recommend using either your finger for maximum color payoff, or dense synthetic brushes since both of those are the most effective ways of using the shadows. They require very little pressure to get the desired intensity, so there is no need to dig in. Despite being a cream-ish formula, these things can be blended with a dense blending brush, but they do tend to set up quickly so time is of the essence.
The lasting power and intensity of these, even without a primer, astounded me. Normally I have to build up products to get them to what I want and prime the heck out of my lids, but these performed just fine on their own. Heck, even the swatches on my arm lasted a long time even though I tried to wipe them off with my hand.
It's pretty safe to say that I love this quad and the look I get from it, but there are a few issues that I have. Amira is VERY glittery, and I've found that the shade does have quite a bit of fallout because of it. Onai, while a fabulous brow highlight confused me with the shade description since I saw little to no duo chrome and I wish it was a touch more pigmented. Even with those two minor complaints, I still adore this odd little set.
