Video Review! Maybelline FitMe Shine-Free Stick Foundation

Thursday, June 20, 2013

Howdy, howdy, howdy! How are y'all doing today?

This post is going to be a little different than other traditional reviews. I'm shrinking the text down to the very basics and sparknote-ing the pros and cons of this new Maybelline FitMe foundation, but you can find all of the nitty gritty (and a demo) of the product in the video down below:

Price: $8.99
Size: 0.32 oz/9 g
Shade range: 10
Coverage: Light to medium
Finish: Cream to almost a powder
SPF: no

Pros:
  • glides on smoothly
  • neutralizes light redness
  • no cakey appearance
  • quick and easy application
  • small and compact packaging
  • light feeling
Cons:
  • doesn't meet "shine-free" claim
  • transfers easily
  • packaging is unhygenic
  • the cap is not secure, which can lead to the product drying out or having the cap come off way too easily
Do I recommend it?

I would for dry or normal/dry skinned folks. Combos and oilies should staaaay awaaaay.

  1. Thank you very much for the review! I have oily skin so when I so this coming I got a bit excited but your isn't the first review that basically said steer clear of this if you'r quite oily. I recently tried a foundation finder by ps beauty http://www.beauty.ps/tool/foundation and this recommended that I try the original fit me formula so I guess I will stick to this initial idea and trust the experts rather than advertising! 3. I disagree with you, i loved this product, new technology with core, it does meet all the claims, i recomend people to buy it. you will not be disappointed. there are no stick make up in mass market. Maybelline is the first one with core technolgy in the mass market.

    1. I'm really glad that it works for you, but unfortunately I did not have the same findings for my specific complexion. I really like the idea, but it just didn't work for me.

  4. Hi! What color did you use in the Fit Me stick? (Your skin is similar in tone to mine, that's why I'm asking.)
